We’ll be making a splash at the NY Aquarium at our annual Spring Gala. Join Coney Island USA for a fin-tastic evening in the “Ocean’s Wonders: Sharks” building, where you’ll be surrounded by denizens of the deep – and we’re not just talking about the marine life!
The world will be your oyster as you drift through the Aquarium’s immersive exhibits, dig the pop-up entertainment, and party with the mer-folk. All guests will enjoy complimentary beer, sponsored drinks, and passed hors d'oeuvres; VIP guests will also be treated to a sit-down dinner.
The proceeds from the Spring Gala will fund Coney Island USA’s programming throughout the calendar year, supporting a variety of community arts programs. We’re the folks responsible for the annual Mermaid Parade, which draws hundreds of thousands of people to the amusement area, and provides an economic boost to local businesses. Our signature programs – the Coney Island Circus Sideshow, Burlesque At the Beach, Congress of Curious People, and Puppets Come Home – highlight art forms steeped in Coney Island tradition. The Coney Island Film Festival and Music of the Curiosities showcase the vision of emerging filmmakers, artists, and musicians. The Coney Island Museum works tirelessly to preserve and promote the history of the People’s Playground with exhibits and lectures, and is an invaluable resource for visiting researchers and local educators.
So dive in, and support south Brooklyn’s most unique non-profit – Coney Island USA – at the historic seaside’s most remarkable venue – the New York Aquarium.
